There is no trash pick up in Watauga Vista. You will need to take your trash and recycling to one of the “Transfer Station” sites. These sites can be found at https://www.maconnc.org/solid-waste-recycling.html

You will need to go to the main post office location on Depot Street and request a box from them. Be sure to request the mailboxes closes to your home as there are two Mail Box Housings in the Vista. One at Gate 4 [Watauga Rd] and one at Gate 1 [Scofield Road]
es, unless you specifically request an alternate location due to driveway conditions inhibiting the delivery trucks from getting to and from your property. If that is the case, they will deliver to the Postal Drop Box at the gate where you get your mail.
Contact the Board of Control [BOC] by filling out the form online and sending to them with all the necessary information. Once approved, you will be provided with a timeline on when you can begin.
Once you fill out the BOC form online, someone will come out to your property and meet with you to review the trees to be cut. Cutting trees before BOC approval could lead to fines.

Contact the Gates Chairman for remotes. They cost $35 each and come preprogrammed with a fresh battery.
